Introduction
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) is a premier Organization of the Government of Gujarat engaged in Entrepreneurship Development Training since 1979 and Skill Development since 2009.
"In the era of cut-throat competition, self-employment allows an individual to become self-reliant and economically sound by channeling 100% effort into their own enterprise."
The core concept behind CED is to develop entrepreneurs in both urban and rural areas, aiding the state's economic growth and creating employment opportunities for others.
Our Journey
The Beginning
A small cell within GIIC started entrepreneurship training — the first attempt of its kind in India. 80 EDPs were conducted with a 50%+ success rate.
CED Established
Encouraged by early success, CED was established as an independent body in May 1979, becoming one of the oldest organizations for entrepreneurship promotion.
Expansion to Priority Sectors
CED launched unique training combining industrial skills and entrepreneurship, targeting tribal and scheduled caste candidates.
Skill Development Focus
Major policy initiatives integrated Skill Development to create industry-responsive manpower across Gujarat.
